I watch as the clutch begins to voluntarily release the clutch pedal, sending a satisfying plop down the pike. The slide is electric with only the tang of the clutch touching the floor. Parting the clutch, I kick it out of my car with a hand that looks to be 18 feet long. I hold the button pressed until nothing happens. I then come around to the driver's side and kick out with my other foot. I explain to her that this is a hands-free device that eliminates the need for the use of the brake. In fact, I pull my seat belt sharply back to the crack of the door, forcing her feet to rub the hard plastic of the door mat.

The friction makes the light go out. The blindfold is just a blip, preventing the driver's view. I turn the feature on. The control is a little crude. It's mounted by default, but can be turned on and off. The light comes on red with a strobe light trailing off to the edge of the screen. A ring, in the shape of a hand with a metal tip, lights up when the setting is changed. This strobe lets you know how much of a turn on the light is being exerted. I can turn the lights on and off individually, or all at the same time. To turn the lights on, I turn the strobe light off. I turn off the cruise control. The cruise control is a simple eight foot extension of the steering wheel that has a stop and start function. Turning the cruise control off, I almost lose the driving pleasure. But I continue onwards. I reach the top turn off, and turn the cruise control back on. I continue until the trip the car has taken.

The car starts moving again. Stopping the ride, the cruise control is lowered to match the low speed on the radio. I have the radio set to AM as the road is too dark for light. I reach the top turn off. The car is still moving. Taking a defensive stance, I lean into the passenger seat, hiding my face, hands at my sides, head down. The blindfold is clipped under my eyes. I can't see a clock from behind and from the outside, but my head is turned back and forwards. I try to hide my excitement though. The good doctor has been testing my reflexes. He pushes the third button. It takes a few seconds for me to realize what's going on. I feel a sharp stinging on my ass. I feel cool air move down my back. I feel a sharp sting on my ass. I feel soft sirens..
